520 _aColonoscopy is the standard modality for investigating lower GIT lesions. CTC is an alternative and less invasive modality. The aim of our study is to compare CTC and conventional colonoscopy results and to evaluate the accuracy of CTC for detecting colorectal lesions. This was documented by histopathology for all cases. Results; regardless of the size, CTC displayed 100% sensitivity and 91.7% specificity for detecting both colorectal polyps and masses, 0% sensitivity and100% specificity for ulcers and telangiectasia and 33.3% sensitivity and100% specificity for piles. We concluded that, CTC is a good alternative test compared to other colorectal cancer screening modalities because of its high sensitivity values in detecting masses and polyps >0.5 cm
