520 | _aBreast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer among women. In Egypt, The most frequent cancers among Females estimated using the results of the National Population-Based Registry Program of Egypt 2008{u2013}2011 was BC.The worldwide prevalence of obesity, defined as a body mass index (BMI) more than or equal 30 kg/m2, has reached epidemic proportions, with about one-third of the population being either overweight (BMI >/ 25 kg/m2) or obese . A large amount of data show a negative impact of high BMI on cancer development and prognosis and a relationship between weight and risk of endometrial, ovarian, and BC has recently been reported in a large population-based study. Aim: This study aimed to determine the association between BMI and theclinicopathological data and survival in BC patient. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study included 160 women with BC. Clinicopathological differences and survival between normal, overweight and obese patients were evaluated. Results: By comparing the three studied groups according to different parameters there is a significant difference as regard SA and menopausal status with p value (P=<0.001 and 0.014) respectively .There is no significant difference between three groups as regard age, family history or chronic disease (DM and HTN) with (P > 0.005) | ||
