520 _aThe study focuses on the Pliocene section (Kafr El-Sheikh formation) in the western part of South Batra field in El-Mansoura concession, Nile Delta- Egypt.The aim of this study is to clarify and to convince the significance of the recent seismic methods in order to illustrate and confirm the locations of hydrocarbon accumulations and to mark out the channel/reservoir boundary. In this study we will explain the AVO theory, the concept of inversion and a different kind of seismic attributes to trace and delineate the different hydrocarbon accumulations, and to determine the limitations required for the adoption of these attributes
