520 _aCancer is one of the leading causes of death across the world, causing great stress to human life. Chemotherapy emerged to be important key player in the treatment of many of cancer patients ranging from primary to advanced stages. However, the severe side effects, poor tolerance and the development of resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs limited their use in many patients. Therefore, the development of novel, efficient, and less toxic anticancer agents remains a serious and challenging goal for the medicinal scientists worldwide. One of the most powerful discovered anticancer scaffolds is the benzenesulfonamide moiety attached to triazole or pyrazole rings. Therefore, the present study deals with the synthesis of different series of benzenesulfonamides hybridized with triazoles, fused triazoles and fused pyrazoles either through direct connection or via azo (-N=N-) spacer furnishing
