520 _aOxybutynin chloride is the gold first line treatment of nocturnal enuresis, oxybutynin chloride acts as a competitive antagonist of acetylcholine at postganglionic muscarinic receptors, resulting in relaxation of bladder smooth muscle. Although oxybutynin chloride is active, the drug bioavailability is only 6%. If the bioavailability of oxybutynin chloride is increased, this may increase the advantage of this important drug.The work in this thesis is divided into three parts: Part I: Formulation and evaluation of oxybutynin chloride nanosponge. Chapter I: Formulation and evaluation of oxybutynin chloride nanosponge by solvent evaporation method. Chapter II: Formulation and evaluation of oxybutynin chloride nanosponge by emulsion solvent diffusion/salting out method.
