520 _aThe study of the blood supply of the pelvic limb of the geese and the renal elimination of marbofloxacinis carried out on eighty five adult, healthy geese for anatomical, histological and pharmacological studies. The pelvic limb receives its main dual arterial supply; the external iliac and the ischiatic arteries which arise from the lateral sides of the descending aorta that supplies the pelvis and thigh region. The arterial supply of the leg region is derived from the popliteal artery while the cranial tibial artery supplies the foot region and participates in formation of the rete tibiotarsalae. The digital arteries arise from plantar arch except the medial digital I, II and lateral digital IV which are detached from medial dorsal metatarsal artery and lateral plantar metatarsal artery respectively. The studying of the venous drainage of the pelvic limbrevealed that the venous blood of the pelvic limb is drained mostly through the external iliac vein, while a small proportion of the venous blood is drained by the ischiatic vein. The femoral vein communicates with the reduced segment of the ischiaticvein, at the 1st third of the thigh region, to furnish the ischiofemoral anastomosis. The latter anastomosis diverts most of the venous blood returning through the ischiatic vein to the external iliac vein.Concerning the renalportal system, it is considered the major merit in the geese's kidney. It{u2019}s formed by the cranial and caudal renal portal veins of both sides. The renal portal system is completed caudally by the union of the caudal renal portal vein with the corresponding of the other side in a large anastomosis and with the coccygeomesentric vein at the median plane. The presence of the faint renal portal valve, in the histological study, cannot change the flow of the venous blood coming from the external iliac vein to the kidney through the cranial and caudal renal portal veins to be drained by common iliac vein. The results of renal elimination after intramuscular injection of marbofloxacin through thigh and pectoral regions proved insufficiency of the renal portal valve. The results obtained are discussed with the work of other authors in domestic fowl and other domesticbirds
