520 | _aIn this study, field experiments were carried out in two successive seasons 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 at El-Sadat City, El-Menoufiya Governorate, Egypt. This experiment aimed to study the potassium fertilization of wheat (Giza 168) through fertigation in Egypt in the sandy soil by groundwater under a drip irrigation system. A split-split plot design in a randomized complete block arrangement was used with three replications. The main plots were allocated to the two potassium sources (potassium sulphate and potassium chloride) three potassium rates (25, 50 and 75 kg K2O/fed beside one treatment without potassium fertilization) were devoted to sub-plot and three patterns (a week, two weeks and one month) were devoted to sub-sub plot and second experiment was added as potassium thiosulphate (KTS).Three rates of potassium will be used 2, 4 and 6 cm/l. beside one treatment without potassium application.Time of potassium as foliar application as: 30 days after planting, after one month from the first application and the third dose before spike bloom. The results showed that potassium had essentially influenced the yield and yield components of wheat and potassium fertilizers such as K2SO4 and KCL improved the quantity and quality of wheat. Our results suggest that potassium application at 75 kg/fed associated with one pattern a week under fertigation can be good for obtaining an optimum yield of wheat. From this study we can be concluded that the potassium application influence at 75 kg K2O/fed gave highly yield and chemical constituents under fertigation | ||
