520 _aThe core of the research is to create an optimization model tool for decision making with a focus on investigating the methods to evaluate and maximize the Socioeconomic values and benefits from rehabilitating the structure.The research will first identify ten structures in different locations of historic Cairo to be a prototype for the model. Second, investigate the current physical condition of the structure, and the associated costs of rehabilitation and the value of each structure.Third, Present the methods used to evaluate the socio-economic benefits. Finally, present an optimization model tool for decision making thatfosters policymakers and professionals to maximize the numbers of structures to be rehabilitated, prevent the loss of valuable structures, and increase the values generated from the invaluable structures
