502 _aThesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science- Department of Inorganic Chemistry
520 _aPreparation of bidentate Schiff base ligand namely (N1- (diphenylmethylene)naphthalene-1,8-diamine (L) and its metal complexes of some transition and inner transition metal ions, with the synthesized Schiff base ligand (1ry ligand) and 1,10-phenanthroline or 2-aminophenol (2ry ligand). The Schiff base ligand and its metal complexes were characterized based on many analytical techniques such as elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment, IR, 1H NMR, UV-Visible, mass spectrometry, SEM and thermal analyses techniques (TG and DTG). The resulted data revealed that the metal complexes have octahedral structure. The antimicrobial and antibreast cancer activities of the Schiff base ligand and its metal complexes were also investigated.Molecular Operating Environment docking (MOE) studies were used to determine the probable binding mode between the Schiff base ligand with different active sites of various proteins
