520 _aPurpose: This study assessed the early outcomes of the arthroscopic mangement of avulsion fractures of the tibial attachment of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). Methods:21 patients with avulsion fractures of the tibial attachment of the PCL were treated with arthroscopic reduction and fixation. Patients were assessed by the IKDC (International knee documentation committee) subjective knee evaluation form and LysholmTegner knee scale. Results: Mean postoperative flexion was 132o (SD ± 9) (range, 110-150). Mean Lysholm score was 85.3 (SD ± 13.7) (range, 57-99). Lysholm score was excellent in eight (38.1%) patients, good in seven (33.3%) patients, fair in four (19%) patients, and poor in two (9.5%) patients. Mean IKDC score was 74.3 (SD ± 16.7) (range, 48-97). Current Tegner activity level remained the same in ten (47.6%) patients, decreased one level in five (23.8%) patients, and decreased two levels or more in six (28.6%) patients as compared to the preinjury level. Conclusion: Arthroscopic treatment of PCL tibial avulsion fractures has many advantages. However, the arthroscopic technique is demanding and requires advanced skills. Early results are promising to encourage surgeons to make this novel technique. Level of evidence: Therapeutic study, prospective case series with no comparison group, Level IV
