The current study was conducted to investigate the efficacy of
Ultrasonic Transdermal Delivery of platelet rich plasma (PRP) on chronic lower
limbvenous ulcer healing.
Patients and methods: The present work was conducted on sixty patients (32
males,18 females ) with chronic lower limb venous ulcers who participated in
this study, their ages ranged from 40 to 60 years. The participants were selected
from Mataria teaching hospital and randomly divided into two groups; Group A
(Ultrasonic Platelet Rich Plasma group) 30 patients received Ultrasonic
Transdermal Delivery of autologous PRP twice weekly for a month in addition
to medical care and group B (Control group) 30 patients received medical care
in form of antimicrobial dressing ,wound care and debridement of ulcers. Saline
method was used to measure the ulcer volume. Digital photography/imaging and
surface area estimation software (Image J) was used to measure ulcer surface
area.Results: Comparison between groups post treatment revealed a significant
decrease in wound surface area and volume of Platelet Rich Plasma group
compared with control group B (p < 0.001).Conclusion: Adding Ultrasonic
transdermal delivery of platelets rich plasma to medical treatment of chronic
venous ulcer can enhance healing process by reducing surface area and ulcer
volume and it is considered an effective modality

لقد اجريت تلك الدراسة لفحص فعالية توصيل البلازما عبر الجلد بالموجات الفوق الصوتية على التئام القرحة الوريدية المزمنة للطرف السفلى الطريقة :شارك فى الدراسة ستون مريضا بالقرح الوريدية المزمنة بالطرف السفلي ( اثنا وثلاثون من الذكور ، ثمانى عشر من الاناث ) تراوحت اعمارهم من 40 الى 60 وقد تم اختيارهم من مستشفى المطرية التعليمى وتوزيعهم عشوائيا على .مجموعة (أ) ، 30 مريضا تلقوا البلازما عبر الجلد بالموجات الفوق صوتية بالاضافة للرعاية الطبية .مجموعة (ب) ,30 مريضا تلقوا الرعاية الطبية فى صورة الضمادات المضادة للميكروبات،رعاية الجرح و تنظيف القرحة .لقد تم استخدام المحلول الملحى لقياس حجم القرحة و استخدام برنامج image) J) لقياس مساحة سطح القرحة . النتائج : عن المقارنة بين المجموعتين بعد العلاج كان هناك انخفاضا ذو دلالة احصائية (p<0.001) فى مساحة سطح الجرح و حجم الجرح فى صالح المجموعة (أ).الخلاصة : اضافة توصيل البلازما عبر الجلد بالموجات فوق الصوتية يحسن من عملية الالتئام عن طريق تقليل مساحة السطح و حجم القرحة و لهذا تعتبر وسيلة امنه ، بسيطة ، رخيصة و فعالة من حيث التكلفة
