Turkish - U.S. relations has not taken a consistent pattern, and it did not settle on a single frequency, as get a tension at times and improvement altogether, because of the repercussions of the Iraqi issue, and excreted of the political and security complexities in Iraq and neighboring countries, as well as developments in the issue of the PKK in northern Iraq, which called the two parties to the realization that their agreement during this phase is necessary to maintain their common interests, and their strategic alliance, if it is to survive and continue in the light of the challenges and changes taking place in the regional and international arena, which resulted in a two-state agreement for their common strategic vision in mid-2006, with the aim coordinate their positions towards a range of regional and international issues, to avoid any future tension in bilateral relations.
