Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Plant Pathology and Physiology Summary: Late blight is a restricting element in potato cultivation and export in Egypt , Isolates of Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary were collected from potato fields located in main cultivation regions during 2005 and 2006 seasons. Concerning longevity all isolates, except Sa17a were viable for more than 16 weeks on PCCFA medium which was significantly the best medium while CMA was the weakest one
