Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science- Department of Inorganic Chemistry Summary: Thermodynamic parameters for protonation of 1-(2-aminoethyl)-piperazine (AEP) and its metal complexation with some divalent metal ions were determined in aqueous solution at constant ionic strength (0.1M NaNo₃) using a potentiometric technique. The order of -xG{u02DA} were found to obey Mn²⁺<Co²⁺ <Ni2+ <Cu²⁺, in accordance with the irving-williams order
