The toxicity of fipronil, imidacloprid and boric acid to the 6th nymphal stage of the German cockroach Blattella germanica (L.) was investigated. The LC₅₀ values of fipronil, imidacloprid and boric acid on the last nymphal stage were 22.5 ppm, 9228 ppm and 9.87%, respectively. Bioassay tests were developed, the LC₅₀ and 95% confidence interval were determined for the three tested compounds against different nymphal instars and adult males. The LC₅₀ values of boric acid were 8.82, 9.87 and 12.31% for 2nd, 6th instar nymphs and adult males after 7 days and were 3.14, 4.70 and 6.97% after 14 days, respectively. Imidacloprid was evaluated on three different ages and stage of the German cockroach (2nd and 6th instar nymphs and adult males), using two techniques 1) orally treatment by incorporating into the treated food baits, and 2) obligatory contact. Moreover four different baits contains different food constituents were tested to evaluate their attractancy and mortality percentage resulted by adding either the LC₅₀ or LC₉₀ of fipronil (22.5 and 107.5 ppm, respectively). At the LC90 level, the beef bait with fipronil caused the highest rate of consumption (97.3%) and the highest mortality percentage (93.3%)
