Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Analytical Chemistry Summary: In this work, three newly synthesized Cu(II) carbon paste ion selective electrodes based on incorporation of 1,8-dihydoxyanthraquinone (DHAQ), as an ionophore, have been constructed. Sensor I was modified with DHAQ only, while sensors II and III were modified with graphene and MWCNTs, respectively, in addition to DHAQ to improve conductivity and transduction of chemical signal to electrical signal
