Dissertation note: Thesis (PH.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Physical Therapy - Department Of Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics Disorders Summary: The aim of the present study was to determine the efficiency of triple therapy with and without electroacupuncture in management of obese femalesForty obese females participated in the study , and were included in two equal groups of 20 subjects eachThe first group (A) received triple therapyThe second group (B) received triple therapy plus electroacupunctureThe program consisted of three sessions per week for eight weeksThere was a significant decrease in body weight , BMI , WC , HC and WHR in both groups (A) and (B) after treatmentsAfter therapy , there was non a significant difference between mean levels of the investigated parameters in group (B) and group (A) Also , there was significant change in blood Leptin , TC , HDL - c , TC / HDL - c , LDL - c and TG in both groups (A) and (B) after treatments , but the changes in group (B) were greater than in group (A) But the difference between Mean levels of the investigated parameters in both groups was not a significant post - therapySo , triple therapy and triple therapy plus electroacupuncture can be used as methods of treatment for obese patients
