This work has been carried out to investigate the reduction of a variety of polyfunctional ketones by the action of baker's yeast in aqueous medium , novel optically active alcohols have been isolated.The structures of the synthesized alcohols were proven by spectroscopic analysis including 1H - NMR , 13C - NMR and mass spectroscopy
