Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the pain reduction and mouth opening for patients with anterior disc displacement with reduction when using 2 digitally constructed splints; stabilizing splint (SS) and anterior repositioning splint (ARS) Methodology: Across over randomized control trial, 20 patients were divided into two groups,10 in each group, group A the patient received a ARS for 3months and then SS for another 3 months with 14 days washing up period, while group B patient received SS for 3 months and then ARS for another 3 months with washing up period 14 days. During follow up pain was evaluated using visual analogue scale (VAS) scale and mouth opening using metric scale. Results For Pain evaluation It was found that group 1 (ARS-SS) revealed as (5.8± SD 1.07 and 3.98 ±SD 1.94) , (5.4 ±SD1.94and 3.98± SD1.24) with 31.38% , ,While in group2 (SS-ARS) (7.1±SD2.2 and 5.32±SD2.05).
For mouth opening group 1 (ARS-SS) revealed maximum mouth opening (35.8±SD14.4 and 52.1±SD11.4) with 45.53% increase during three months follow up before washing up period, While in group 2 revealed maximum mouth opening starting (36.4±SD16.2 and 49.2±SD12.1) with 35.16%. Conclusion: Within the limitation of study, the ARS and SS for can be for patient with disc displacement although each one has it is role in management أجريت هذه الدراسة للمقارنة بين جبائر الإعاده الأماميه ضد الجبائر المثبته ثلاثية الأبعاد للمرضى اللذين يعانون من إزاحة القرص الأمامي قابلة للإختزال .ش
تم تقسيم المرضى الى مجموعتين المجموعه الأولى ترتدي جبيرة الأعاده الأماميه لمدة ثلاثة شهور يليها ارتداء الجبيرة المثبته لمدة ثلاثة شهور أخرى بينهم فترة راحة مدتها أربعة عشر يوما و المجموعة الثانيه ترتدي الجبيرة المثبته لمدة ثلاثة شهور يليها ارتداء جبيرة الأعاده الأماميه لمدة ثلاثة شهور أخرى بينهم فترة راحة مدتها أربعة عشر يوما, يتم خلالها تقييم الألم و قياس فتحة الفم تم تجميع النتائج وتحليلها ووجد أن إستخدام جبيرة الأعاده الأماميه أفضل من جبيرة التثبيت ولكن دون وجود جدوى إحصائيه
