تتناول الدراسة صورة نهاية إسرائيل في رواية "الثالث - השלישי " للأديب الإسرائيلي "يشاي ساريد - ישי שריד"، والتي تعد واحدة أبرز أعمال موجة أدب النهايات الإسرائيلي، التي تستشرف نهاية إسرائيل على يد العرب (العماليق) في الرواية. وقد هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أسباب ظهور وازدهار هذه الموجة التي تستشرف مستقبل سودوياً لإسرائيل، وتتنبأ بنهايتها في المستقبل القريب. وقد استعرضت الدراسة جذور هذه الموجة في الموروث اليهودي، وأهم سمتها وأعمالها وصولاً إلى الرواية محل الدراسة. كما تناولت الدراسة أيضاً الثنائية المتضادة القدس وتل أبيب باعتبارهما ساحة الأحداث، والهيكل "الثالث" باعتباره الحدث الرئيسي في الرواية، والمسيح المخلص باعتباره بطل الرواية. ولم تغفل الدراسة أهم قضايا المجتمع الإسرائيلي الداخلية وصراعات الخارجية التي دفعت ساريد للتنبؤ بنهاية إسرائيل على يد العرب. وتنا ولت الدراسة ايضاً الجانب الشكل لرواية "الثالث" لاستجلاء دور الشكل في توصيل مضمون العمل الأدبي ورسالته إلى القراء، مستعينة في ذلك كله بمناهج البحث الأدبي المختلفة، واختتمت الدراسة بأهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها. The study examines the portrayal of Israel's end in the novel “The Third - השלישי” by the Israeli author “Yishai Sarid - ישי שריד”. This novel is considered one of the most prominent works of the Israeli 'end of days' literary wave, which foresees Israel's destruction at the hands of the Arabs (referred to as 'Amalekites' in the novel). The study aims to understand the reasons for the emergence and flourishing of this literary movement, which envisions a bleak future for Israel and predicts its imminent demise. The study traces the roots of this movement back to Jewish heritage and explores its most significant characteristics, works, and authors, culminating in an analysis of 'The Third'. It also examines the contrasting cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as the main settings of the novel, the 'Third Temple' as the central event, and the messianic hero as the protagonist. Additionally, the study delves into the internal and external issues plaguing Israeli society that motivated Sarid to predict Israel's downfall at the hands of the Arabs. It also analyzes the formal elements of 'The Third' to understand how the narrative style contributes to conveying the work's message to readers, utilizing various literary research methods. The study concludes by presenting its key findings.
