Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the remineralizing and desensitizing effect of casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) versus fluoride cream application following the use of lumacool (Teeth Whitening Pen) On Premolars.
Methodology: Fifty six stained sound human premolars were bleached by different agents to four equal groups and measuring the teeth sensitivity for their patients by visual analogue scale (VAS) after 1,7.14,28 days of application then they were extracted and prepared for other SEM,EDX and Vickers micro-hardness tests.
The obtained data were morphologically examined by SEM and statistically analysed by Wilcoxon signed rank testfor paired (matched).All statistical calculations were done using computer program IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science; IBM Corp, Armonk, NY, USA) release 22 for Microsoft Windows.
Results: There was a significant difference among four groups as VAS score obtained clarify that as the highest mean value was in vas 28 day H2O2 at both 3 and 4 groups (6.14 ±1.86)(6.14 ±2.04) and the least mean value was in placebo vas 1 day score at group 1 (0.43 ±0.54There was asignificant difference among the four groups as the SEM examination of the enamel surface at the placebo group revealed relatively smooth surface.And in other hydrogen peroxide groups,SEM showed surface cracks,surface scratches, depressions.
Also, the calcium wt % and phosphorous % among four groups as group 2 (H2O2 + Calcium) recorded the highest mean value (38.24±2.75) and the least mean value was in group 2 (H2O2 only) (21.79±2.80) and p<0.05 between four groups.
There was a significant decrease (P<0.05) in enamel micro-hardness betwwen four groups as group 2 and group 4 were the most affected (P=0.018), followed by group 1 (P=0.043) and then the group 3 (P=0.866).
Conclusion: The hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel (luma cool) has asignificent bleaching effect on stained teeth.Calcium and fluoride addition to bleaching gel didn't affect the bleaching efficacy of the (luma cool) bleaching gel. Calcium has agreat effect in teeth reminerlization and helps in curing the teeth hypominerlization occurance during bleaching rather than fluoride addition.Both calcium and fluoride addition to luma cool didn't offer any role in reminerlization of bleached teeth as fluoride addition antagonises the calcium effect. البحث عن ابتسامة مهمة في الصحة والجمال هو سبب شائع للحصول على رعاية الأسنان. العلاقات الشخصية واحترام الذات المرتبطة أيضا مع البحث عن تبييض الأسنان. تفضيل التبييض له ما يبرره لأنه يعتبر علاجا محافظا وآمنا وفعالا. على الرغم من أن وكلاء بيروكسيد تنتج نتائج باهرة, الآثار السلبية السريرية المرتبطة بها يبدو لا مفر منه.
كان الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم تأثير إعادة تمعدن وإزالة الحساسية من فوسفوبتيد الفوسفات اللاتبلوري للكالسيوم مقابل تطبيق كريم الفلوريد بعد استخدام اللوماكول (قلم تبييض الأسنان) على طواحن الأسنان الأمامية. قيمت الدراسة الآثار الناتجة على مورفولوجيا، صلابة صغيرة، تغيير اللون، والمحتوى المعدني للمينا البشرية وحساسية الأسنان. تم تقييم عينات المينا في كل نقطة زمنية من خلال تحليل الميكروسكوب الإلكتروني, قياس نسبة المعادن في الأسنان ومقدار صلابة الأسنان.
أجريت هذه الدراسة على 28 متطوعا مع 56 من طواحن الأسنان الأمامية ملطخة سيتم تقسيمها عشوائيا إلى المجموعات الأربع التالية:
المجموعة 1: سيتم التعامل مع7 من الطواحن الأمامية من جهة واحدة بقلم التبييض لوماكول و7 من الأسنان المقابلة لهم بمادة الغفل مرتين يوميا (9 صباحا,9 مساءا) لمدة 28 يوم.
المجموعة 2: سيتم التعامل مع 7 من الطواحن الأمامية ملطخة من جانب واحد مع قلم تبييض اللوماكول وأسنانهم 7 و بالجهة المقابلة ستخضع لقلم تبييض الأسنان اللوماكول مع كاالسيوم كازين فوسفات مرتين يوميا (9 صباحا و 9 مساء لمدة 28 يوما).
المجموعة 3: سيتم التعامل مع 7 من الطواحن الأمامية الملون من جانب واحد مع قلم تبييض وسيتم إخضاع أسنانهم 7 المقابلة إلى قلم تبييض اللوماكول مع تطبيق كريم الفلورايد مرتين يوميا (9 صباحا و 9 مساء لمدة 28 يوما).
المجموعة 4: سيتم التعامل مع عدد 7 طواحن أمامية الملون من جانب واحد مع قلم تبييض اللوماكول وسيتم إخضاع أسنانهم 7 المقابلة إلى قلم تبييض اللوماكول مع الكالسيوم كازين كريم والفلورايد كريم مرتين يوميا (9 صباحا و 9 مساء) لمدة 28 يوما.
تم فحص جميع أسطح المينا عند خط الأساس للمينا المعالجة بالغفل وبعد (اللوماكول والكالسيوم والفلورايد) تطبيق العلاج من قبل فحص الميكروسكوب الإلكتروني و إختبار تحليل نسب المواد وتحليل اختبار الصلابة.
