تركز هذه الدراسة على مدى فعالية دور الأمم المتحدة لحفظ وبناء السلام في الدول الأفريقية الهشة، من خلال التركيز على حالة جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى التي استضافت العديد من عمليات حفظ وبناء السلام على مدى أكثر من عقدين، لإخراج هذه الدولة من الهشاشة إلى التعافي ومن دوامة الصراع إلى بناء سلام مستدام. وخلصت الدراسة إلى أنه على الأمم المتحدة التعامل بطريقة مختلفة مع الدول التي تعاني من صراع داخلي متجدد ومن ارتفاع مؤشرات الهشاشة، حيث تتداخل مسببات الصراع مع محركات هشاشة الدولة، كما أن مجال بناء السلام بحاجة ماسة إلى استجابات أكثر فعالية في الدول الهشة، حيث أن التنسيق الجيد والتكامل بين الجهات الفاعلة الدولية والإقليمية ومجتمع المانحين يحقق نتائج أفضل في مسار حفظ وبناء سلام مستدام وفي تقوية مؤسسات الدولة الهشة، وهو ما تم تضمينه في خاتمة الدراسة. This study focuses on the efficient role of the U.N missions for Peacekeeping in the fragile countries of Africa. It focuses on the case study of Central African Republic (CAR), which witnessed the deployment of many Peacekeeping & peace-building Missions for more than two decades, with aim of supporting the transition of the country from the fragile state into recovery & stability, and from the spiral of conflict into sustainable peace-building.The study concluded that the U.N should act differently with states experiencing renewed internal conflict and high indicators of fragility, where causes of conflict interact with the drivers of state fragility. The process of peacekeeping and peace-building urgently needs responses that are more effective in dealing with fragile states, to attain better results, as a consequence, towards a sustainable peacebuilding through good coordination and integration between regional and international actors, as much as, to strengthen the institutions of the fragile state. All of which was included in the conclusion of the study.
