The present work offers an ion - selective electrode of the plastic membrane type for the determination of sibutramine hydrochloride monohydrate (SBT) . The electrode depends mainly on the incorporation of the ion - associate of the above mentioned drug with phosphtungestic acid (PTA) in a PVC matrix
