To evaluate the antimicrobial effect and tissue reaction of some root canal filling materials ( zinc oxide and eugenol , calcium hydroxide , iodoform and Metapex ) used in root canal treatment of primary teeth . Materials and Methods : The antibacterial effect was assessed using the direct contact test after 1 , 24 , 48 and 72 hrs contact time with 2 standard microbial indicators
