Power quqlity has become an important concern to both electric utilities and end - users due to the widespread of non - linear loads that inject harmonics into power systems and thus deteriorate the power quality . This thesis aims to investigate a simplified three - phase shunt active power filter, using voltage source inverter with dc-ibus capacitor for harmonic elimination and reactive power compensation for power quality enhancement
