Two sensitive spectrophotometric and atomic absorption spectrometric procedures have been developed for determination of hyoscine N - butyl bromide (scoplamine) and cinchocaine hydrochloride in pure form and in pharmaceutical formulationsThe spectrophotometric method was based on the formation of an insoluble coloured ionassociate between the cited drugs and cobalt thiocyanate or chromium thiocyanate , dissolved and extracted in an organic solventThe optimum experimental conditions for quantitative extraction such as pH , concentration of the reagents and solvent were studiedThe optimum concentration ranges , molar absorptivities
