Pulmonary complications are one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in bone marrow transplant recipients and neutropenic patients with hematologic malignancies . Advances in immunosppressive therapy and an increase in number of BMTs have increased the predilection for pulmonary bacterial , fungal and viral infections . Such infiltrates are often indentified radiographically and empiric therapy is initiated based on their appearance
