To evaluate risk adapted treatment protocol in children with malignant extracranial germ cell tumors ( GCTs ) in both the NCI and CCHE . Malignant GCTs in children aged 0 to 18 years were excised without major morbidity or otherwise biopsied . Stage I testicular and ovarian GCTs were resected and monitored ( " watch - wait " approach ) .
