In the south of Jordan water is scarce expensive and restricted thus dry cooling for power production is the best option . This work is a comprehensive study of a 50 MW parabolic trough solar thermal power plant with a dry cooled system and 7.5 full load storage hours in Ma'an , Jordan a comparison between dry and wet cooled plant from a technical and economical point of view is done also an assessment of dry cooled plant in this site
