Orifices flowmeters have been around for a while and will be for a long time. They are cheap robust easy to implement no maintenance required . For the current study a numerical simulation was made using a commercials CFD package namely FLUEN, with its pre-processor GAMBIT is used to study a turbulent flow through fractal - shaped orifices and ordinary orifices in pipes
