Stochastic comparisons of random variables and life distributions arising from them / مقارنات عشوائية بين متغيرات عشوائية وتوزيعات حياة ناشئة عنها Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim Mohammed Khair ; Supervised Abdulhadi Nabih Ahmed Ebrahem - Cairo : Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim Mohammed Khair , 2014 - 98 Leaves : charts ; 30cm
Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Institute of Statistical Studies and Research - Department of Mathematical Statistics
This thesis has introduced new stochastic orderings, established their preservation properties under commonly occurring reliability operations such as convolution, mixing, and demonstrates their usefulness in probability, statistics and reliability theory. It has also introduced and studied useful partial orderings, and established connections between them and the available orderings in the literature. Furthermore, discrete analogues of the continuous reliability notions are defined, and their preservation properties under the most commonly used reliability operations are established
Inactivity time Mean residual life time Reliability
