Background: Nocturnal enuresis is a very common chronic disorder that is distressing to the children. It might be frustrating to the entire family especially the mother: causing depression, anxiety and may affect her quality of life. Aim: To assess the impact of mono-symptomatic primary nocturnal enuresis on the quality of life of the mothers of affected children and to assess depression and anxiety in mothers of the enuretic children. Results: Nocturnal enuresis negatively affects the quality of life of the mothers of the enuretic children Depression and anxiety showed no statistically significant differences in both groups although higher mean anxiety score was found in mothers of children with nocturnal enuresis. Anxiety of mothers of enuretic children increased by the severity and frequency of the nocturnal enuresis Conclusion: Mono-symptomatic primary nocturnal enuresis negatively affects the quality of life of mothers of the enuretic children
