This work has been carried out to investigate the: Spectrophotometric determination of gliclazide (GLZ) via charge transfer complex formation with 7, 7, 8, 8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), 2, 3-dichloro-5, 6-dicyano-1, 4-benzoquinone (DDQ) and 2, 5- dichloro-3, 6-dihydroxy-1, 4-benzoquinone (PCA) and estimation of (GLZ) in pure form and pharmaceutical preparations. Structutal investigation of GLZ-DDQ and GLZ-PCA charge transfer complexes using infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, 1H NMR, X-ray diffraction, element analysis and thermal analysis. Cyclic voltammetric determination of (GLZ) with the utility of both platinum and screen printed electrodes in pure form and pharmaceutical preparations
