Investigation projectile penteration in concrete blocks reinforced by aluminum / دراسة اختراق المقذوفات للبلوكات الخرسانية المسلحة بالألومنيوم Eman Mohamed Mostafa Mahmoud ; Supervised Walid Abdellatif Attia , Mohamed Yassin Ibrahim Laissy - Cairo : Eman Mohamed Mostafa Mahmoud , 2019 - 108 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering
Numerical simulation of the response of concrete structures to impact loading is an important tool in both the design of hardened protective structures and in the planning for effective attacks against such structures. This thesis present the development of an accurate finite-element model using AUTODYN 3D to study the response of concrete structures reinforced by Aluminum(AL 6061-T6) sheets and plates exposed to 23 mm projectile. The aim of thesis is to study numerically the penetration resistance of concrete structures reinforced by Aluminum(AL 6061-T6).The main findings show an enhancement in the penetration resistance on one of the models about 72% while using Aluminum
