Our study was carried out to evaluate the circulating proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) levels in patients with T2 diabetes and its relationship to other CVD risk factors,We included 50 patients with DM (25 males and 25 females) and 30 persons as control (15 males and 15 females), Participants age (40-60) without H/O:ASD,lipid lowering treatment,cancers or pregnancy, All participants underwent comprehensive history taking and physical examination, BP, cardiovascular system examination , body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) and resting ECG. For all the participants we did:FBS,HbA1C, Serum creatinine, estimated GFR using Cockcroft equation, Cholesterol,TG, HDLc,LDL cholesterol(assay)& Serum PCSK9 levels ( measured by ELISA)
