Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disease; about 2.5 million people around the world had MS. Furthermore, few studies are carried out to document nursing diagnoses among Egyptian patients suffering from MS based on Maslow's model. Aim: Establishing nursing diagnoses profile for patients with MS applying Maslow's model. Design: Non experimental, descriptive - explorative design was utilized in this study. Subjects: A convenient sample of 100 adult male and female patients with MS was involved. Tools: Personal Information and Medical Background Tool, Physical Examination Tool based on Maslow's model and Multiple Sclerosis Nursing Diagnoses Profile (MSNDP) were used to collect relevant data. Results: The most common actual nursing diagnoses were imbalanced nutrition, activity intolerance and anxiety, while the most common potential nursing diagnoses were risk for electrolyte imbalance and physical injury. However, the most common possible nursing diagnoses were possible depression and pressure sores. Finally, the most common health promotion nursing diagnoses were readiness for enhanced calcium stabilization and nutrition
