520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This study aims at testing the ability of 22 fungal species isolated from soil polluted with heavy metalsThe results indicated that Aniger and Ccladosporioides have the highest biosorptive capacities for lead and cobalt respectively , and it was investigated that the sorptive capacity of the dry cells was lower than that of the wet cells , also the maximum metal uptake took place during the early stages of growth (2 days) It was found that pretreatment of Aniger with 05N NaOH and 150 krad increased its biosorptive capacity for lead removal by 226
