| General note | Esta reseña de Verano Inglés (1999) de Guillermo Carnero se publicó en la revista Clarín. Y al autor del poemario no le debió de gustar nada, porque poco después publicaba un artículo atacando los juicios del reseñista y a éste mismo, es decir a mí (sin nombrarme salvo en juego de palabras con mi segundo apellido, cosa que ya se sabe que es un ardid bien feo). Carnero es un excelente poeta y no deseo polemizar con él. Catedrático de Literatura Española, es seguro que tiene más sólidos conocimientos que uno sobre muchas materias. Y sin embargo, su airada respuesta plantea interesantes cuestiones sobre métrica y versificación. Aquí mi texto. En los próximos días, un respetuoso análisis de los argumentos de Carnero, recientemente reeditados en el libro Poéticas y entrevistas (1970-2007), publicado por el Centro Cultural de la Generación del 27. |
