Summary, etc.	يعتبر العصر الحجري الحديث من الفترات الهامة خلال التاريخ القديم، لاسيما في منطقتي وادي النيل والصحراء الغربية نظراً للتغيرات المناخية التي حدثت خلال منذ أواخر البليستوسين وخلال الهولوسين والتي شكلت تحدياً كبيراً للإنسان القديم. وقد أوضحت المصادر الأثرية بعض ملامح الحياة القديمة، ولعل أهم تلك المصادر الأثرية: الدفنات البشرية التي لا تعد فقط مصدراً للحياة الجنائزية وعادات وممارسات الدفن، بل مصدراً هاماً للعديد من جوانب الحياة اليومية: فتمدنا الدفنات البشرية بأهم المواد والأدوات التي كانت مستخدمة خلال الحياة اليومية ودُفنت مع أصحابها كأثاث جنائزي مصاحب لها سواء كانت من مواد محلية أو مستوردة قادمة من مناطق أخرى، وماهي دلالات وجود تلك المواد والأدوات داخل الدفنات، بالإضافة إلى رصد التمييز بين دفنة وأخري سواء كان في وضع الدفن، أو اختيار مكان مميز للدفن أو الأثاث الجنائزي المصاحب أو حتى وجود تضحيات حيوانية أو بشرية داخل الدفنات. تعد الدراسة محاولة لرصد وتسجيل ومقارنة عادات الدفن خلال العصر الحجري الحديث في كل من: منطقة الصحراء الغربية كالدفنات المكتشفة في نبطة بلايا، وجبل الرملة وبركة الشب وبعض الدفنات التي عثر عليها في بعض المواقع بالواحات (في مصر)، وفي مواقع وادي هوار وأبو بلاص ووادي شو واللقية (في السودان حيث الجزء الجنوبي من الصحراء الغربية)، ومنطقة النيل الأوسط من خلال ما تم الكشف عنه من دفنات في النوبتين السفلى والعليا ووسط السودان، وذلك لإيضاح أهم السمات المميزة لهذه الدفنات. كما تشمل الدراسة رصد لأوجه التشابه ومظاهر الاختلاف بين الدفنات البشرية التي عثر عليها في منطقة الصحراء الغربية (في كل من مصر والسودان)، ومنطقة النيل الأوسط سواء في نمط ووضع الدفن، شكل القبر، وكذلك الأثاث الجنائزي المصاحب للميت، ومدى أهمية ودلالة وجود بعض المواد المصاحبة للمتوفى. كما تلقي الدراسة الضوء على أهمية الرعي وحيوانات الماشية في المجتمعات النيوليثية وإنعكاس هذه الأهمية على عادات الدفن والممارسات الجنائزية المرتبطة بدفن الموتى.

Summary, etc.	Neolithic is considered a remarkable phase during the ancient history, specially in the Nile Valley and the Western Desert due to the climate changes that happened during in Late Pleistocene and Holocene that considered a huge challenge for the ancient human populations.<br/>The archaeological resources have evidenced some features of the ancient human life. One of the most remarkable resources are the human burials, which considered a remarkable source of numerous human aspects not only related to the funeral practices, but also the daily life such as the most important materials and tools that were used during the past human life and were buried with their owners as accompanied funeral goods whether made from local or imported materials from other areas. Also, what the remarkable importance of these materials inside the burials. In addition, defining any differentiation between the different cemeteries/ burials regarding the burial behavior, spatial distribution or the accompanied funeral goods or even animal and human sacrifices inside the burials.<br/>This study is considered an attempt to record, register and compare the Neolithic burial customs in the Western Desert: Nabta Playa, Gebel Ramlah, Burkat al- Shab and some sites in the oasis (in Egypt), and in Wadi Howar, Abu Ballas, Wadi Shaw and Laqiya (in Sudan, the southern part of the Western Desert), and the Middle Nile Region through the discovered burials in Lower and Upper Nubia and Central Sudan to highlight the features of these burials.<br/>The study also includes recording of the common features and the difference between the human burials in the Western Desert (in both Egypt and Sudan) and the Middle Nile Region in Sudan regarding the burial behavior, burial pit and the accompanied funeral goods and how importance these materials and are they refer to. The study also highlights some related pointes such as the importance of pastoral and cattle in the Neolithic communities and the reflection of these importance on the burial customs and funeral practices.<br/>practices.<br/>(
