| Summary, etc. | This study concerned about ecological and biological aspects of two insects small white cabbage butterfly, Artogeia rapae (L.) and silver Y moth, Autographa gamma (L.) on certain vegetables of family Brassicaceae in Menoufia and Giza governorates for one growing season (November 2020 to January 2021). <br/>Studies regarding diversity of insects at the two selected sites showed that a total of 13 insects belong to 12 families and 6 orders were recorded. The total collection of insects comprised of 10 species of insect pests, 2 species of predators and one species as parasitoid. This study also recorded a population density of three caterpillars (small white cabbage butterfly, diamondback moth, and semiloopers) with three weather factors (maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and relative humidity). <br/>The results of the field study showed that the small white cabbage butterfly and diamondback moth preferred cauliflower and cabbage, while semiloopers did not show any preference between cauliflower, cabbage and radish as well as they were not observed on turnip and rocket in both governorates.<br/>Artogeia rapae and Autographa gamma preferred to feed on cauliflower over cabbage, radish, turnip and rocket so it gave the shortest life cycle, highest number of eggs and shortest oviposition duration.<br/>A single larva of A. rapae consumed food during the entire larval duration 1010.86, 1736.05, 1091.16, 1185.78 and 2528.34 mg, while a single larva of A. gamma consumed 2145.06, 2061.35, 2196.00, 3136.09 and 2742.25 mg on turnip, radish, cauliflower, cabbage, and rocket, respectively during the entire larval duration. |

| Summary, etc. | اهتمت هذه الدراسة بتأثير بعض الظواهر البيئية والحيوية لحشرتي أبي دقيق الكرنب والدودة نصف القياسة ذات الحرف Y على بعض خضر العائلة الصليبية في محافظتي المنوفية والجيزة لموسم نمو واحد (من نوفمبر 2020 إلى يناير 2021).<br/>أوضحت الدراسات حول تنوع الحشرات، تسجيل 13 نوع حشري ينتمي إلى 12 عائلة و6 رتب حشرية في كل من منطقتي الدراسة. يتكون المجموع الكلي للحشرات من 10 أنواع من الآفات الحشرية ونوعين من المفترسات الحشرية ونوع واحد من الطفيليات الحشرية. سجلت هذه الدراسة أيضًا الكثافة العددية للأطوار غير الكاملة لثلاثة أنواع من الحشرات (أبو دقيق الكرنب، الفراشة ذات الظهر الماسي والديدان نصف القياسة) وعلاقتها بثلاثة عوامل جوية هي درجة الحرارة القصوى، درجة الحرارة الدنيا والرطوبة النسبية.<br/>أظهرت النتائج أن حشرتي أبو دقيق الكرنب وفراشات ذات الظهر الماسي فضلت كل من القنبيط والكرنب في الحقل. بينما لم يظهر أي نوع من أنواع الديدان نصف القياسة تفضيل عوائلي بين كل من القنبيط والكرنب والفجل وفي نفس الوقت لم يتم ملاحظتها على اللفت والجرجير في كلا المحافظتين.<br/>فضل كل من أبو دقيق الكرنب والدودة نصف القياسة ذات الحرف Y التغذية على القنبيط عن التغذية على باقي العوائل النباتية محل الدراسة (الكرنب والفجل واللفت والجرجير) في المعمل حيث أنه يعطي أقصر دورة حياة وأكبر عدد من البيض وأقصر فترة وضع البيض.<br/>استهلكت يرقة واحدة من أبي دقيق الكرنب خلال فترة نموها اليرقي بالكامل 1010.86 و1736.05 و1091.16 و1185.78 و2528.34 مجم بينما يرقة واحدة من الدودة نصف القياسة ذات الحرف Y استهلكت 2145.06 و2061.35 و2196.00 و3136.09 و2742.25 مجم على اللفت والفجل والقنبيط والكرنب والجرجير على الترتيب خلال فترة نموها الكامل. |
