Summary, etc.	The present study has examined serum prolidase level in 41 children<br/>with FMF being followed in Rheumatology clinic, Children<br/>hospital, Cairo university. The patients were in attack free period (at least<br/>2 weeks after the last attack). 41 healthy age and sex matched children<br/>were included in this study as controls and they were recruited from<br/>surgery outpatient clinic at the same hospital.<br/>The study aimed to correlate serum prolidase level and other<br/>autoinflammatory markers with clinical manifestations, disease severity<br/>and subclinical inflammation in children with FMF.<br/>All patients were subjected to full history taking like Demographic<br/>data, clinical manifestations, disease related parameters (duration of<br/>disease, age at disease onset, age at diagnosis, number of attacks in the<br/>last six months, colchicine usage time, dose of colchicine, response to<br/>colchicine and compliance to colchicine), clinical examination and<br/>assessment of disease severity by the international severity scoring<br/>system for Familial Mediterranean Fever (ISSF).<br/>Laboratory investigations were done (CBC -BUN - Serum<br/>creatinine-ESR- CRP- Serum amyloid A- Urine analysis- type of MEFV<br/>mutation). Measurement of the serum prolidase level was done by<br/>enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique (ELISA) using human<br/>Xaa-Pro Dipeptidase/Prolidase (PEDP) ELISA kit.

Summary, etc.	قامت الدراسة الحالية بفحص مستوى البروليديز في الدم لدى 41طفلاً مصابين بحمى البحر الأبيض المتوسط العائلية الذين تم متابعتهم في عيادة الروماتيزم، مستشفى الأطفال، جامعة القاهرة. كان المرضى في فترة خالية من النوبات (بعد أسبوعين على الأقل من أخر نوبة). تم تضمين 41طفلاً متطابقين في العمر والجنس في هذه الدراسة كشواهد وتم اختيارهم من العيادة الخارجية للجراحة في نفس المستشفى.<br/>هدفت الدراسة إلى ربط مستوى البروليديز المصلي وعلامات الالتهاب الذاتي الأخرى بالمظاهر السريرية وشدة المرض والالتهاب تحت السريري لدى الأطفال المصابين بحمى البحر الأبيض المتوسط العائلية.<br/>خضع جميع المرضى لأخذ التاريخ الكامل مثل البيانات الديموغرافية والمظاهر السريرية والمعلمات المرتبطة بالمرض (مدة المرض، العمر عند ظهور المرض، العمر عند التشخيص، عدد النوبات في الأشهر الستة الأخيرة، وقت استخدام الكولشيسين، جرعة الكولشيسين، الاستجابة للكولشيسين والامتثال للكولشيسين)،الفحص السريري وتقييم شدة المرض من خلال نظام تسجيل الخطورة الدولي لحمى البحر الأبيض المتوسط العائلية (ISSF).<br/>تم إجراء الفحوصات المخبرية (عد الدم الكامل- نيتروجين يوريا الدم - كرياتينين المصل- معدل الترسيب لكريات الدم الحمراء - البروتين الكمي المتفاعل-أميلويد المصل A- تحليل البول- نوع طفرة MEFV). تم قياس مستوى البروليديز في المصل بواسطة تقنية المقايسة الامتصاصية المناعيةللإنزيم المرتبط (ELISA) باستخدام مجموعة ELISAالبشرية Xaa-Pro Dipeptidase / Prolidase (PEDP).<br/>وتوصلت الدراسة إلى الاستنتاجات التالية:<br/>• كان متوسط مستوى البروليديز في المصل لدي مجموعة الشواهد أعلى بكثير منه لدى الأطفال المصابين بحمى البحر الأبيض المتوسط العائلية خلال الفترة الخالية من النوبات.<br/>• لا يمكن استخدام بروليديز المصل بشكل موثوق كعلامة للكشف عن الالتهاب تحت السريري لدى الأطفال المصابين بحمى البحر الأبيض المتوسط العائلية خلال الفترة الخالية من النوبات.<br/>• لا يمكن استخدام بروليديز المصل بشكل موثوق كعلامة لتقييم شدة المرض لدى الأطفال المصابين بحمى البحر الأبيض المتوسط العائلية.<br/>
