| Summary, etc. | Canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2) is a highly evolved DNA virus, and its evolution patterns frequently tend to be positive, producing distinct strains which vary geographically and temporally. Few researches of CPV-2 strains have been conducted in Egypt. We attempted to study a several evolution patterns of CPV-2. Many CPV-2 sequences from Egypt were analyzed for mutational events, then phylogenetically compared to worldwide strains. By the sequence analysis; the prevalence of CPV-2 subtypes in Egypt varied on time basis, hence the dominant subtype was first CPV2b in 2019, then CPV2a in 2020, and finally CPV2c in 2021. Among the isolated subtypes, the worldwide mutations T440A, Q370R, and F267Y are common in our strains in addition to the unique substations in residues G36R and V38E were repeated in some of our strains which might affect the flexibility of the cylinder at the fivefold axis, and also unique mutation at the critical residue N323H which control transferrin attachment of canine cell. The mutations A5G, Q370R, F267Y and Y324I were found together in most of our CPV-2c strains for the first time in Egypt, which resemble recently Asian strains. The phylogenetic analysis showed great similarity between our studied strains and strains belong to China, Vietnam and South Korea. Our study provided an updated molecular analysis of CPV-2 subtypes in Egypt and gave broader understanding of the new mutations introduced in our Egyptian strains. |

| Summary, etc. | فيروس بارفو المجرد هو فيروس DNA متطور للغاية ، وتميل أنماط تطوره في كثير من الأحيان إلى أن تكون إيجابية ، وتنتج سلالات متميزة تختلف جغرافيا وزمنيا. تم إجراء عدد قليل من الأبحاث حول سلالات CPV-2 في مصر. حاولنا دراسة العديد من أنماط تطور CPV-2. يتم تحليل العديد من تسلسلات CPV-2 من مصر بحثا عن أحداث طفرية ، ثم تتم مقارنتها من الناحية التطورية مع السلالات العالمية. اختلف انتشار الأنواع الفرعية CPV-2 في مصر على أساس زمني ، وبالتالي كان النوع الفرعي السائد هو CPV2b أولا في عام 2019 ، ثم CPV2a في عام 2020 ، وأخيرا CPV2c في عام 2021. من بين الأنواع الفرعية المعزولة ، الطفرات العالمية T440A و Q370R و F267Y شائعة في سلالاتنا بالإضافة إلى المحطات الفرعية الفريدة في المخلفات G36R ، تم تكرار V38E في بعض سلالاتنا التي قد تؤثر على مرونة الأسطوانة عند المحور الخماسي ، وكذلك طفرة فريدة في البقايا الحرجة N323H التي تتحكم في ارتباط الترانسفيرين بخلية. تم العثور على الطفرات A5G و Q370R و F267Y و Y324I معا في معظ سلالات CPV-2C لأول مرة في مصر ، والتي تشبه السلالات الآسيوية الحديثة. أظهر تحليل النشوء والتطور تطابقا كبيرا بين سلالاتنا المدروسة والسلالات التي تنتمي إلى الصين وفيتنام وكوريا الجنوبية. قدمت دراستنا تحليلا جزيئيا محدثا للأنواع الفرعية CPV-2 الموجودة في مصر ، وتوضح النتائج التي توصلنا إليها الاختلافات الجينية بين سلالات CPV-2 المصرية. |
