520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This study examines the effectiveness of behavioral interventions in inducing a favorable shift in the consumers’ environment-related behaviors and attitudes. The study focuses on energy consumption and uses the experimental methodology which combines a lab and a field experiment, to assess the significance of energy conservation that result from subjects being exposed to ‘green’ nudges. The lab and field experiments were conducted in February 2022, March and April 2023 at the British University in Egypt with the participation of 194 and 169 student subjects, respectively. Lab results indicate that negatively valenced climate information has significantly improved the perceived legitimacy of the climate change problem, resulting in a significant reduction in energy consumption. Results from the field experiment indicate that informative energy usage feedback has lowered average energy consumption, the decrease however was not statistically significant, suggesting that more expensive investments in energy efficiency are needed to achieve a considerable shift towards sustainability.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
