Summary, etc. | Introduction: Flexible flatfoot is a common condition characterized by reduced height of the medial longitudinal arch especially during weight-bearing, which potentially influences muscle activities in the foot. Purpose: This study had two aims; the first is to compare the electromyographic activity (EMG) of the extrinsic and intrinsic foot muscle activity (EFMs and IFMs) of subjects with flexible flat feet versus healthy control subjects in six distinct weight-bearing positions ( bilateral limb stance (BLS), single limb stance (SLS), bilateral squat (BSQ), single squat (SSQ), bilateral heel raise (BHR), and single heel raise (SHR)). The second aim is to determine whether there is a correlation between the activity of the EFMs and IFMs across static phases of weight-bearing positions in subjects with flexible flatfoot and healthy volunteers. Methods: Thirty-four Subjects were recruited according to the height of the medial longitudinal arch as measured by the navicular drop test. They were assigned into two matched groups; Group A: normal arch and Group B: flat foot (>10mm drop during weight bearing). The muscle activity of key muscles (Tibialis posterior, Peroneus Longus, Abductor Hallucis, and Flexor Digitorum brevis) was measured in six distinct weight-bearing positions. Results: No statistically significant differences were found in EMG activities of the Tibialis posterior, Peroneus Longus and Abductor Hallucis between the groups across various positions. The Flexor Digitorum Brevis muscle activation during the Bilateral Heel Raise showed a significant difference in flexible flat foot group. In addition to significant inter-muscle activity correlations in all assessed postures in subjects with flexible flatfoot and healthy volunteers. Conclusion: In the assessed weight-bearing positions, subjects with flexible flat feet and those with normal arched feet do not exhibit significantly different Extrinsic muscle activity. In addition, non significance differences were found between abductor hallucis and flexor digitorum brevis muscle activity except during the bilateral heel raise. |

Summary, etc. | مقارنة النشاط الكهربي (EMG) للعضلات الخارجية والداخلية في القدم ((EFMs وIFMs)) للأفراد ذوي القدمين المسطحتين المرنتين مقابل الأفراد ذوي القدمين الطبيعية في وضعيات حمل الوزن المختلفة : الوقوف على القدمين (BLS)، الوقوف على رجل واحدة (SLS)، الانخراط الثنائي (BSQ)، الانخراط الفردي (SSQ)، رفع الكعب الثنائي (BHR)، ورفع الكعب الفردي (SHR). تحديد ما إذا كان هناك ترابط بين نشاط عضلات القدم الداخلية والخارجية عبر مراحل الثبات الستة في وضعيات الحمل الوزني المتنوعة للأفراد ذوي القدمين المسطحتين المرنتين مقابل الأفراد ذوي القدمين الطبيعية.<br/>مجال البحث:<br/>المجال البشري: تم تضمين أربعة وثلاثون مشاركا من طلبة العلاج الطبيعي الذين تم انتقاؤهم من العيادة الخارجية بكلية العلاج الطبيعي، جامعة القاهرة، مع توزيع متساوي الي مجموعتين بوجود سبعة عشر مشاركا في كل مجموعة: مجموعة أ من الأفراد ذوي القدمين الطبيعية، مجموعة ب من الأفراد ذوي القدمين المسطحتين مع عمر (20-40) سنة في هذه الدراسة. هؤلاء المشاركين تم انضمامهم بناءا علي بعض المواصفات. مجموعة ب ينبغي أن يكونوا من الافراد ذوي القدمين المسطحتين المرنتين يتم تشخيصها بإجراء اختبار انخفاض القوس الطولي ، عمرهم من عشرون إلي أربعون عاما، اختبار انخفاض القوس الطولي أكثر من 10 ملليمتر، مؤشر كتلة الجسم بين 18.7 كجم/متر2 و 29.9 كجم/متر2 . بينما مجموعة أ لا يعانون من القدم المسطحة المرنة.<br/>المجال الزمني: استغرقت هذه الرسالة أربعة أشهر في الفترة ما بين ( مايو 2023- سبتمبر 2023).<br/> <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/> |
