| Summary, etc. | Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the Clinical performance of (CarieScanPRO™) in comparison with digital radiograph and ICDAS-II in detection of occlusal carious lesions<br/>Methodology: Occlusal surfaces of 166 posterior teeth were assessed using three diagnostic procedures. 1) (ICDAS-II), 2) digital radiograph, and 3) CarieScanPRO™ device (ACIST). The diagnostic accuracy and 95% CI for caries detection with CarieScanPRO™ were assessed.<br/>Results: results of inter and intra -observer agreement showed an excellent agreement in the different groups. Result of Diagnostic accuracy of CarieScanPRO™ (ICDAS reference) revealed a significant difference (p<0.001) and a moderate statistically significant agreement between both modalities (kappa=0.606). Results of Diagnostic accuracy of CarieScanPRO™ (digital radiography reference) showed a significant difference (p<0.001) and no statistically significant agreement between both modalities (kappa=0.117). <br/>Conclusion: The ACIST-based diagnostic modality has great potential for detecting occlusal carious lesions, reducing the risks with radiography. |

| Summary, etc. | قد أجريت هذه الدراسة لتقييم الموثوقية لنظام المعاوقة الطيفية الكهربية مقارنة بنتائج الأشعة الرقمية والنظام العالمي الثاني لتحديد التسوس في الكشف عن إصابات التسوس السطحي <br/>تم فحص أسطح الإطباق لـ 166 الأسنان الخلفية (الضواحك والضروس) ل 40 مريضًا بالغًا مستوفين لمعايير الأهلية والقبول بواسطة اثنين من المراقبين باستخدام طرق التشخيص المذكورة أعلاه. تم تقييم الأسنان أولاً بالعين المجرّدة بطريقة التقييم الحسّي البصري وفقًا لمعايير النظام الدولي للكشف عن التسوس) اى س دى اس (II ثمّ بواسطة الاشعة السينية الرقمية لنظام المعاوقة الطيفية الكهربية <br/>تم قياس التوافق بين المراقبين في طرق التشخيص المذكورة وتمّ تطبيقه احصائيا باستخدام اختبار كابا. كما تم حساب درجة الارتباط بين طريقتي الكشف باستخدام اختبار Shapiro-Wilkوحساب حجم التأثير للمقارنة بين الطرق. <br/>تم التقييم الإحصائي لدقة الطرق المستخدمة بالإضافة إلى الدقة التشخيصية، ونسب الاحتمال، واختبارات إحصائية أخرى لكشف التسوس بواسطة الكاميرا المستخدمة.<br/>أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الحالية عدم وجود ارتباط إيجابي بين معايير اى س دى اسIIونتائج قياسات نظام المعاوقة الطيفية الكهربية في الكشف عن التسوس السطحي لطبقة العاج (بدقة 82.5 %) و وجود ارتباط ايجاب متوسط ف الكشف عن التسوس السطحي لطبقة المينا (بدقة56.1 %) بينما لم كان هناك ارتباط إيجابي بين نتائج فحص الاشعة السينية الرقمية و نظام المعاوقة الطيفية الكهربية حيث كانت الدقة في الكشف عن تسوس في طبقة المينا (66.7%) و التسوس بطبقة العاج هو (%54.2) <br/>فيما يتعلق بكلا المراقبين؛ فقد كان هناك توافق مثالي بينهم لكل طرق الكشف المستخدمة. كما كان هناك اتّساق لدى كل مراقب على حدة في كل الطرق<br/>الخلاصة: يعتبر نظام المعاوقة الطيفية الكهربية أداة واعدة لتشخيص التسوس السطحي بالإضافة لتجنب اضرار الاشعة السينية |
