| Summary, etc. | يتمثل الهدف الرئيسي للدراسة في اختبار أثر خصائص الشَّركة على الاحتفاظ بالنقديَّة ومدى انعكاس ذلك على كفاءة الاستثمار. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تمَّ إجراء دراسة تطبيقية على عينة مكونة من (111) شركة من الشَّركات المُدرَجة بالبورصة المصريَّة خلال الفترة (2012 – 2021م)، وعند استخدام أسلوب تحليل المساراتPath Analysis في ظل الاختبارات الأساسيَّة؛ تمَّ التوصل إلى النتائج الآتية:<br/> أولًا: وجود تأثير إيجابي معنوي لكلٍّ من حجم الشَّركة، وربحية الشَّركة، وعمر الشَّركة، ونسبة القيمة السوقيَّة إلى القيمة الدفتريَّة لحقوق الملكيَّة على الاحتفاظ بالنقديَّة، ووجود تأثير سلبي معنوي للرافعة الماليَّة على الاحتفاظ بالنقديَّة.<br/> ثانيًا: وجود تأثير إيجابي معنوي للاحتفاظ بالنقديَّة على كفاءة الاستثمار.<br/> ثالثًا: وجود تأثير سلبي معنوي لكلٍّ من حجم الشَّركة، وربحية الشَّركة، ونسبة القيمة السوقيَّة إلى القيمة الدفتريَّة لحقوق الملكيَّة على كفاءة الاستثمار، ووجود تأثير إيجابي معنوي لكلٍّ من الرافعة الماليَّة، وعُمر الشَّركة على كفاءة الاستثمار.<br/> رابعًا: وجود تأثير سلبي معنوي لكلٍّ من حجم الشَّركة، وربحية الشَّركة، ونسبة القيمة السوقيَّة إلى القيمة الدفتريَّة لحقوق الملكيَّة على كفاءة الاستثمار عن طريق مستوى النقديَّة المحتفظ بها، ووجود تأثير إيجابي معنوي لكلٍّ من الرافعة الماليَّة، وعُمر الشَّركة على كفاءة الاستثمار عن طريق مستوى النقديَّة المحتفظ بها. <br/>هذا، وقد أكدت الاختبارات الإضافية التي قامت بها الباحثة، والتي تتمثل في استخدام طريقة المربعات الصغرى لإعادة اختبار الفروض الثلاثة الأولى، على معظم النتائج التي تمَّ التوصل إليها في ظل الاختبارات الأساسيَّة (تحليل المسارات). وتسهم نتائج هذا البحث في توفير معلومات مفيدة للمستثمرين، والجهات الرقابية والتنظيمية، والشركات حول الدور الذي يلعبه مستوى النقديَّة المحتفظ بها في العلاقة بين خصائص الشَّركة وكفاءة الاستثمار. <br/> |

| Summary, etc. | The primary objective of this study is to examine the impact of firm characteristics on cash holding and how this reflects on investment efficiency. To achieve this objective, an applied study was conducted on a sample of 111 companies listed in the Egyptian Stock Exchange from 2012 to 2021. Using Path Analysis to test the proposed hypotheses of the current study through the STATA 14.2 program.<br/>The study concluded the following results: Firm size, profitability, age, and the market-to-book ratio of equity have a significant positive effect on cash holding, while leverage has a significant negative impact. Additionally, cash holding has positive and significant effects on investment efficiency. However, firm size, profitability, and the market-to-book ratio negatively impact investment efficiency, whereas leverage and firm age have significant positive effects. These relationships persist when considering the level of cash held. Supplementary tests using ordinary least squares (OLS) confirmed the robustness of the primary findings. This study provides valuable insights for investors, regulators, and firms regarding the critical role of cash holdings in the nexus between firm characteristics and investment efficiency.<br/> |
