| Summary, etc. | A screenplay is a pre-production, format-restricted manuscript whose primary purpose is to elevate a story to film corporations and producers. The present study attempted a linguistic analysis of the ACTION segments of purposely selected ten screenplays. The study utilized Corpus Linguistics, Multimodality, and Systemic Functional Grammar to identify the linguistic peculiarities of the ACTION sub-genre of the genre of screenplay. The research design involved a mixture of qualitative and quantitative designs to investigate these ACTION segments, their structure, and the way the verbal language of the scripts is translated into films. The findings demonstrated that a screenplay would tend to use technical and direct language, with a condensed style, whose purpose is to facilitate the process of film direction. On the multimodal level, the analysis demonstrated that agreement between the verbal language of the script and its visual and auditory representation is not always the case. These findings suggest that film scripts are stories based on pre-existing visual modes in the cognition of screenwriters, and that films are systems analogous to language system. <br/>The present study aims at examining the screenplay as a genre by looking at three linguistic features, namely: the lexical components of screenplays, the thematic structure of the clauses, and the verbal group element or Processes according to the SFG theory of language, with the focus being directed towards the ACTION parts of the genre of screenplay. The study dissects patterns and grammatical configurations of these features in ten screenplays, which were produced into global awarded or nominated films internationally. <br/>The multimodal analysis aims at identifying the meaning-making resources of films, the way in which the textual is translated into the visual, and the cinematographic techniques film directors make use of in order to realize the intended meaning of a film based on its screenplay. |

| Summary, etc. | يعد النص السينمائي واحدًا من النصوص الأقل إطلاعًا بالرغم من العدد الكبير من الأفلام التي يتم إنتاجها عالميا من خلال دور الإنتاج المختلفة، علما بأن صناعة الأفلام في جوهرها تبدأ حيث يبدأ النص السينمائي في صورته قبل الإنتاج. صناعة الأفلام السينمائية هي واحدة من النوافذ التي تشكل جزءً من الخط الفكري لمشاهديها، وعادة ما تضفي بتأثيرها علي قناعات المشاهد وقيمه، كما يدلي كييف (1999) متحدثا عن قدرة العمل السينمائي علي المساهمة في الحدود الفكرية والاجتماعية، معتمدة في ذلك علي الصور المعروضة علي الشاشة. ويدينج وبويد (1999) يعربا عن قدرة العمل السينمائي علي عكس صور نمطية تؤثر بدورها علي القيم الاجتماعية والفردية وبالأخّص الأجزاء الحوارية من العمل, وكيف أن هذه الأعمال تسلط بالضوء علي الخط الفكري والاجتماعي وفقا لظروف مؤلفيها ومنتجيها.<br/>النصوص السينمائية أو ما هو معروف بالسيناريو, هي في أصِلها فئة من النصوص المكتوبة خصيصًا لغرض محدد ألا وهو إنتاج تلك النصوص وتحويلها إلي أعمال سينمائية مكونة من لقطات تصويرية منفصلة وتسلسل صوري ومشاهد حركية متتالية. <br/> تنظر غالبية الدراسات التطبيقية السابقة إلي الأعمال السينمائية والنصوص الفيلمية من خلال دراسة أجزاء بعينها من تلك النصوص. فمثلا هناك دراسات تأخذ الحوار السينمائي كعينة للدراسة مثل بيدنارك (2014) وديفيس (2008) وفورتشيني (2012)، كما أن هناك بعض الدراسات التي تقدم تحليلا لغويا للشخصيات، وأخري تنظر إلي البنيان النصي للنصوص السينمائية قبل إنتاجها في صورة فيلم.<br/>كما يسعي عدد قليل من الدراسات إلي تحويل النصوص السينمائية إلي أعمال مسموعة، وأخري تستقطب الأنماط المتعددة المتاحة في تلك النصوص مثل كريزانوفا (2019) ومورينيو (2014) وكذلك ماراس (2009). ووفقا لما قدمته الدراسات السابقة، فليس هناك أثر لدراسات قد اتخذت أجزاء الحركة ACTION segments من النصوص الفيلمية موضوعا لبحثها، وهناك القليل المتعارف عليه بخصوص تلك الأجزاء الحركية في النصوص الفيلمية فيما هو متاح من دراسات لغوية، ونظرا لأهمية الحركة في العمل السينمائي، تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلي تبني هذه الفجوة موضوعا لبحثها. تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلي التحقق من الكتابات السينمائية من منظور ثلاث أركان لغوية: أولا من منظور النحو الوظيفي النظامي، ثانيا من منظور المتن اللغوي، وأخيرا من منظور علم تعدد الأنماط. تقدم الدراسة الحالية مدارك جديدة قد تضاف إلي مجالي النحو الوظيفي النظامي وعلم الأنماط، كما تقدم الدراسة إضافة إلي مجال المتن اللغوي من خلال إمكانية بناء متن لغوي متعدد الأنماط، مما قد يمّكن التحليل اللغوي والتحليل النمطي من التماشي جنب إلي جنب بتوفرهما داخل متن لغوي واحد. وتضيف الدراسة إلي ما سبق ذكره أهمية أخري ألا وهي رؤية جديدة لكتّاب النصوص السينمائية، علي الرغم من أن هذه الأهمية لا تمس علوم اللغة بشكل مباشر، بل تعتبر إضافة إلي مجالات الكتابة الإبداعية، وبالأخص كتابة النصوص السينمائية بوصفها درب خاص من دروب الأدب والكتابات الإبداعية. |
