| Summary, etc. | The performance of estimation method of the parameters of certain probability distribution is addressed. Specifically, the estimation of parameter of the Quasi Lindley distribution and Nadarajah-Haghighi exponential distribution. The graphs of likelihood function of those, and other distributions, show that the top of likelihood function is nearly flat plateau, which make it difficult, analytically or numerically, to obtain a solution of likelihood equations. One way around this problem is to use penalization schemes to obtain approximate solutions to the likelihood equations. We used some penalization schemes, one of them based on Jeffreys prior and the other based on the log of the prior density that used in the Bayesian context. |

| Summary, etc. | لاحظنا أنه عند تقدير معالم توزيع Quasi Lindley وتوزيع Nadarajah-Haghighi الأسى باستخدام دالة الإمكان الأعظم يكون تقدير أحد المعالم كبيرا بشكل ملحوظ. وقد وضحت الرسوم البيانية لدالة الإمكان لتلك التوزيعات، وغيرها، أن قمة دالة الامكان تأخذ شكل هضبة مسطحة تقريبًا، مما يجعل من الصعب، تحليليًا أو عدديًا، الحصول على حل لمعادلات الامكان. ولتلافي هذه المشكلة اقترح البعض استخدام دوال عقابية للحصول على حلول تقريبية لمعادلات الامكان. وقد استخدمنا دوال عقابية بعضها يعتمد على Jeffreys prior والبعض الآخر يعتمد على log prior densityوذلك في سياق بايزي. |
