Summary, etc. Environmental water and wild plants pollution is an emerging concern nowadays. This thesis is concerned with environmental analysis of groundwater wells (Km.85, Ms-2, Sirbakis, El-Markh and Km.101) and plants (Pulicaria incisa (P. incisa), Artemisia judaica (A. judaica) and Leptadenia pyrotechnica (L. pyrotechnica) used by population of eastern desert in Egypt and laborers of Nuclear Materials Authority. The aim of this work is to develop validated analytical methods suitable for environmental analysis of Heavy metals, pharmaceutical drugs and pesticides. Also, making sure that the investigated water and plants samples are safe for consumption by population.<br/>Eight heavy metals are investigated in the selected groundwater and plant samples (Cr, Cd, Pb, Co, As, Cu, U and Th) using Inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Pollution indices (contamination index, ecological risk factor and heavy metals pollution index) were calculated for each groundwater well to make sure that the water is safe to drink.<br/><br/>Two heavily used drugs are examined and quantified in groundwater samples: metformin (MET) and olmesartan (OLM). For quantification, two analytical techniques (spectrofluorimetric and voltammetric) were used after solid phase extraction (SPE) to increase the sensitivity of them. The two techniques were validated according to ICH guidelines. For voltammetric analysis carbon paste electrode (CPE) was modified using CuO and Au nanoparticles. The developed CPE was characterized and its effect on sensitivity of the method was studied.<br/>As for pesticides, four of them were investigated: chlorpyrifos (CPF), acetamiprid (ACM), lambda cyhalothrin (LCH) and oxyfluorfen (OXF). The four pesticides are volatile and thermostable. So, GC-MS method was the best choice

Summary, etc. هذه الرسالة بعنوان "التحليل الكيميائى لبعض المبيدات، الملوثات الغير عضوية والصيدلية فى بعض النباتات ومصادر المياه الجوفية – مصر" وتتكون من أربع أجزاء: الجزء الأول هو مقدمه عامه عن موضوع الرسالة، الجزء الثاني والثالث والرابع تتناول وصف دقيق للطرق المستخدمة فى التحليل البيئى فى هذه الرسالة. ثم تأتى المصادر العلمية والملخص باللغة العربية والإنجليزية.<br/>الجزء الأول: المقدمة العامة<br/>يتناول هذا لجزء نظرة عامة عن مدي أهمية المياه الجوفية كمصدر للمياه خاصة فى المناطق الوعرة، الخصائص الفيزيائية و الكيميائية العامه للمياه الجوفية وكذلك الصفات العامة للنباتات البرية. يوضح أيضاً أهم أسباب و مصادر تلوث المياه الجوفية والنباتات وتأثير ذلك على صحة الإنسان. ومن أهم مصادر التلوث: المعادن الثقيلة، المواد الصيدلية والمبيدات الحشرية. وأخيراً يناقش هذا الجزء أهداف ومواضيع الرسالة، وصف عام لموقع و طبيعة منطقة البحث وأيضاً طريقة ومحاذير تجميع العينات.
