Summary, etc. Schiff bases and their metal complexes are versatile compounds with wide-ranging applications in both industrial and biological contexts. In this study, two novel Schiff bases, (1E,6E)-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione condensed with furfuryl amine in a 1:1 ratio (H2L1) and (1E,6E)-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione condensed with 2-Aminomethyl-pyridine in a 1:1 ratio (H2L2), along with their complexes with Cr(III), Ni(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), and Cd(II) metal ions, were synthesized and thoroughly characterized using various analytical techniques. The chelates exhibited octahedral geometry, as revealed by elemental analyses, mass spectrometry, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, molar conductivity, and thermal analyses techniques (TG and DTG). Moreover, the in vitro antibacterial activity of the ligands and their complexes was screened, showcasing their potential in combating bacterial infections. Computational studies using the DFT/B3LYP method provided insights into the molecular structures of the Schiff base ligands. Additionally, molecular docking studies were conducted to explore the interactions between the synthesized compounds and different protein receptors, shedding light on their potential biological activities. The antibacterial activities of the Schiff bases (H2L1 and H2L2) were evaluated, and antioxidant activity was measured, further highlighting the multifaceted nature and potential applications of Schiff bases and their metal complexes in both industrial and biomedical fields.

Summary, etc. القواعد الشيف ومتراكباتها مع الفلزات هي مركبات متعددة الاستخدامات بتطبيقات واسعة في السياقين الصناعي والبيولوجي. في هذه الدراسة، تم تحضير قاعدتي شيف جديدتين، (1E,6E)-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione المكثفة مع الفورفوريل-أمين بنسبة 1:1 (H2L1) و (1E,6E)-1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione المكثفة مع امينوبيريدين 2-Aminomethyl بنسبة 1:1 (H2L2)، بالإضافة إلى متراكباتها مع أيونات الفلزات Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), و Cd(II)، وتم توصيفها بشكل شامل باستخدام تقنيات تحليلية متعددة. أظهرت المتراكبات هندسة ثمانية أوجه، كما كشفت عنها التحاليل العنصرية، وطيف الكتل، والأشعة تحت الحمراء بالموجات الفوق صوتية، والرنين النووي المغناطيسي، والتحليل الحراري. علاوة على ذلك، تم فحص النشاط المضاد للبكتيريا في المختبر للمركبات الأساسية ومتراكباتها، مما يظهر إمكانيتها في محاربة العدوى البكتيرية. قدمت الدراسات الحوسبية باستخدام الطريقة DFT/B3LYP نظرة عميقة في الهياكل الجزيئية لقواعد شيف. تم إجراء دراسات الربط الجزيئي أيضًا لاستكشاف التفاعلات بين المركبات المصنعة ومستقبلات البروتين المختلفة، مما ألقى الضوء على الأنشطة البيولوجية المحتملة لها. تم تقييم النشاط المضاد للبكتيريا لقواعد الشيف (H2L1 و H2L2)، وقياس النشاط المضاد للأكسدة، مما يسلط المزيد من الضوء على الطبيعة متعددة الجوانب والتطبيقات المحتملة لقواعد الشيف ومتراكباتها مع الفلزات في الحقول الصناعية والطبية.
